Okay, on this good occasion, I will tell you some tips on how to stop a leaky faucet. But before we go down that way, I think it is kind of better way for you to know the main reasons why you have leaky faucet.

Basically, there are two main parts that could be the cause of leaky faucet. They are valve stem as well as the faucet washer. You will need to empty them from the water before you start the project, especially as you want to remove the faucet handle screw with a screwdriver. By the time you have done with the handle, you should examine the valve stem and then also make sure you locate the hexagon-constructed-nuts properly. The topmost nut should be unscrewed and you could use the wrench before you pull this off the stem.

Then, you might have to take away the second hexagonal nut and check the valve stem for cracks or other signs of wear. When you see problem of damage, you have to replace the stem. Next thing you must do is testing the rubber washer precisely. If everything is alright, you could continue with lightly dab a coat of silicone grease on the bottom of the washer face and do not forget to place the faucet handle over the end of the stem as well. It is done my lovely friend.
